Catalyst baskets

Catalyst baskets hold the catalyst within the reaction media and are typically used for catalyst testing/screening applications, including catalyst effectivity, yield, activation, life time as well as regeneration.

The type of catalyst basket used varies depending on the characteristics of the catalyst (type, particle size), the parameters of the process/chemical reaction, the temperature and the pressure. The catalyst basket designs can be differentiated between stationary catalyst baskets (catalyst bed) and spinning baskets (rotation via attachment on the stirrer shaft).
