Lab-scale freeze dryers

Martin Christ

Martin Christ lab freeze dryers deliver reliable, high-performance lyophilisation for routine laboratory use. From compact benchtop units to higher-capacity systems, they are designed for maximum sublimation efficiency thanks to a drying-chamber-above-ice-condenser configuration, with stainless-steel condensers for long-term reliability. Modular accessories allow drying of flasks, vials, trays, plates and other formats — even for solvent-containing or low-freezing-point samples. Intuitive touchscreen controllers ensure ease of operation, reproducible cycles, and data logging via USB or Ethernet. Multiple condenser temperatures (≈ –55 °C, –85 °C, –105 °C) cover aqueous, solvent-laden, and low-freezing-point materials.

Model overview:

Alpha 1-2 LSCbasic — compact, 2.5 kg condenser (–55 °C); ideal for small-scale aqueous sample drying in flasks or trays.
Alpha 1-4 LSCbasic — 4 kg condenser (–55 °C); versatile benchtop unit for routine sample preparation, flasks, bottles or tray formats.
Alpha 2-4 LSCbasic — 4 kg condenser (–85 °C); suitable for low-freezing-point samples or solvent-containing materials.
Alpha 3-4 LSCbasic — 4 kg condenser (–105 °C); specialised for solvent-based or low-freezing-point samples, with chemical-resistant design and double-chamber system.
Beta 1-8 / Beta 2-8 LSCbasic — 8 kg condenser (–55 °C or –85 °C); higher-capacity benchtop systems for larger sample loads, tray or vial drying, environmental or biological material, or higher throughput.
